I quit my job. Ok – fine – it was 2.5 years ago, but #1. I haven’t written about it and #2 the awesome copywriting guru, Laura Belgray from Talking Shrimp says you can’t not read something starting with “I quit.”

Rewind to me working in the Bravo Creative Department, where I’d daydream during back to back meetings about all the projects I’d launch “if I only had the time”. So when I finally left my job – it was only a matter of time before working on those projects, right? Wrong. Covid hit and not only was I a SAHM, but I became a school teacher, gym teacher, art teacher, chef, cruise director, nurse, therapist. I got my wish of spending more time with the kids and then some. And I can finally answer the question of which is harder: working fulltime and having someone else take care of the kids or not working and taking care of the kids. Spoiler alert: It’s the latter – but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I just need to also get back to projects. So here I am.

Health coach? Recipe Developer? Children’s book author? Decorator? Picking back up my giftware company I abandoned when I went to Bravo? These were all paths that I entertained and are close to my heart. I’m still working on my master plan, but in the meantime, I’m finally going live with this blog. I’ve written entries along the way that have sat dormant because I could never get things focused or perfect enough. But it’s time to hold myself accountable for progressing on projects and this blog is my first foray. It’s a creative outlet for me. I’ll see where it takes me, because if there’s one thing I know about myself, it’s that I need to create. Even if just for fun – and that’s the goal for now. Create for fun. Join me in my journey. And tell me – what project do you want to get started on?
